Longline Blazer + Bow Blouse
When you crave Chanel’s all-black feminine drama at 8 a.m. but have a client breakfast at 8:30.
We took inspiration from a FW 2025 RTW Chanel look defined by a sculptural bow, structured tailoring, and absolute restraint in color and embellishment. What stood out most were:
the dialogue between structure and fluidity,
the contrast of matte and sheen — wool and silk — to express depth, and
yes, the confidence and ease of an all-black outfit.
Translating those same codes into a professional wardrobe, we built work-appropriate interpretations anchored by the same duo — the single-breasted longline blazer and silk bow blouse — each recalibrated for a different level of formality. The blazer is black, close-fitting, and single-breasted, cut to hip length or slightly longer. Its minimal structure gives definition without severity, and while ours is collarless, the look works just as well with a slim high lapel collar. The blouse, in matte or slightly lustrous silk, features a soft, full bow at the neck — prominent enough to serve as the focal point, yet understated enough to read as professional.
Each variation below preserves the essence of the original: polished restraint, subtle drama, and that quiet confidence that comes from precision. And let’s be honest — we love the simplicity of putting it together. Our work-appropriate interpretations (+ one easy OOO transition) each incorporate the blazer + bow pairing as the central code (top to bottom).
