Tweed + Twist

FW 2025 took the classic heritage tailoring fabrics — tweed, herringbone, Prince of Wales check, twill — from our Runway to Office Post and rewired them for modern work. No countryside romance, no manor nostalgia. Think: sharp suiting anchored in tradition, but lifted by feminine contrasts (blush silks, soft knits, crystal accents) and intentional accessories that keep the look squarely in 2025, not 1925.

The below show how to wear these fabrics to the office without slipping into “Baroness of Wexford-upon-Netherby” territory. Each look demonstrates the new equation: heritage base + modern polish + one soft or shimmering counterpoint. Formality ranges from elevated business-casual to full boardroom authority.

Formula

1. The Heritage Anchor.

Choose one strong tailoring suit in a heritage wool weave in traditional colors: tweed, Prince of Wales check, herringbone or twill. Keep it structured. Keep it clean. No countryside theatrics. This is your authority layer.

2. The Modern Feminine Touch.

Interrupt the nostalgia with something current, clean and unapologetically feminine: blush or lilac silk blouse, nude cashmere knit, powder blue shirt or minimal fine-gauge knit. This neutralizes the “estate” undertone and relocates the fabric into 2025.

3. The Controlled Twist.

Add one deliberate bright punctuation mark: crystal brooch, sculptural earrings, statement necklace. One twist only. This is where the look becomes editorial rather than corporate-basic.
