Cable Knit + Scarf + Bling

January 29, 2026. On Zoom and in headshots, what matters isn’t the full outfit — it’s what frames the face. A close-fitted cable knit does the heavy lifting: it adds structure, texture, and polish exactly where the camera lands. The rest is about emphasis. A strong earring, a silk scarf, a touch of color or metal near the face is often all it takes to shift the mood, while keeping the look effortless and work-appropriate. When stacking classic codes feels modern and confident.

The Formula

1. The preppy base.

A close-fitted cable knit—buttoned cardigan or crew neck—worn as top. Clean shoulders, net hem, no visible layering underneath.

2. The graphic silk frame.

Add a scarf at the neckline—tied simply or embrace the current trend of more elaborate bows— but keep it close to the collar. It introduces movement without disrupting the structure.

3. The deliberate shine.

Finish with one strong piece of jewelry near the face, earrings or necklace, not both competing.
